Heidi Hayes began her performing career in the field of opera and concert, appearing with many organizations throughout the US, including Pennsylvania Opera Theater, OperaDelaware, Tulsa Opera, Central City Opera, the San Antonio Festival, the Bach and Handel Society of Jim Thorpe, PA, and the Ocean City Pops. In recent years, Heidi has also enjoyed a career in musical theatre and cabaret, frequently appearing at the Walnut St. Theatre as well as with Backseat Productions and City Theatre of Wilmington, Delaware. Her up-and-coming cabaret career includes performances at the Red Room, the Bryn Mawr Film Institute and the Gershman Y, all in the Philadelphia area. |
A native of Wisconsin, Heidi Hayes has taught privately on the Main Line for over 15 years. She is also on the staff of the Walnut Street Theatre School and was an Adjunct Lecturer at Muhlenberg College. Many of her professional students perform regularly with organizations such as The Arden Theater, Walnut St. Theatre, Media Theater, Bristol Riverside Theater, Act II Playhouse, and the Philadelphia Singers Chorale. High School students of Heidi have gone on to major in music and theater at schools such as New England Conservatory, Ithaca College, Syracuse University, Point Park College and NYU. |
